Editing tags?

MelissaE 9 years ago updated by phillip 9 years ago 1

Am I just missing it, but where can I edit a tag? Like if I make a typo or something, or want to change the color?

File not found in search, even though it is tagged

MelissaE 9 years ago 0

I have a tag called 2016-03 to tag files by month. I manually added this tag to some files and it looks find in that view. However, when I go to search, the files don't show up when I select that tag. Does it have to do with the hyphen perhaps?

Doesn't find Network drives

MelissaE 9 years ago 0

I've got Taggtool installed on one of our test servers and I'm able to browse to the dashboard and everything. Added a few categories and tags, no problem. But I want to add tags to files on a shared network drive, but the list doesn't populate. It says it could take awhile, but it never seems to populate. This happens both when using the Rule Configuration and when I Browse Shared Folders.

Edit Tags dialog doesn't have the auto complete feature.

When searching for tags you get a popup containing matching tags, the same feature should be in the edit tags dialog.

Doesn't remember shared folders

RobW 10 years ago updated by RobW home 10 years ago 2
In Tag Files, I click Add a Folder and enter a path to my drawing files. Then I tag a file and go to search to find it. When I go back to Tag Files, the shared folders area is still blank. I have to click Add a Folder and re-enter the path. This gets really old. Is it supposed to remember the shared folders?

Can't install TaggTool 5 - Doesn't see Java

RobW 10 years ago updated by phillip 10 years ago 22
I'm trying to install on Win7 x64 system that's located on an air gap network (no internet access). The TaggTool 5 Server Setup window tells me that I need Java Runtime Environment. Using a different machine, I downloaded it, transferred it to the air gap network, installed it on the Win7 machine, rebooted, and tested it by opening a cmd window and typing java -version. It replied:
java version "1.8.0_45"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_45-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-bit Server VM (build 25.45-b02, mixed mode)

Now I rerun the TaggTool5Server64.exe and I still get the TaggTool 5 Server Setup window listing the prerequisite Java Runtime Environment. Under version it says, "Required: 1.5 or higher. Found: nothing."

Obviously, it doesn't see my JRE install. Help.

pierredes3d 10 years ago updated by phillip 9 years ago 8

when i boot windows 10, i see the system icon indicating the server runs. But when I try to browse the webgui, it doesnt show up. In windows services, I does show the service as running, but obviously it doesnt work correctly. When I disable it and then restart it, the page shows up and everything works fine.

How do I enter more than one tag on the same file?

RobW 10 years ago updated by RobW home 10 years ago 3
I enter a tag for a particular file. Later, I go back to the Edit Tags page and click the Edit Tags link for a the file I already tagged. I type a new tag into the Edit Tags dialog box but when I click Save, nothing happens, the dialog bot remains open and I have to click Cancel to get out. The tag doesn't get saved. How do I enter more than one tag on the same file?
